Robotics

Calgary's premier student-led VEX robotics club

Our Mission

As one of the only non-school VEX Robotics competition organizations in Calgary, our main goals are to get to the VEX Worlds finals and mentor other high schoolers in STEM, offering those showing an interest and ability in robotics the chance to join a team

What We Do

Mechanics

Members work to design and build a robot to complete tasks for the season's VEX competition

Software

Members program in C++ to make the robot function during the autonomous and driver parts of competition games

Collaboration

Members must work together to create initial designs, solve problems along the way, and manage other organizational activities

Commitments and Performance

Time

Members spend at least 4 hours per week at meetings or contributing from home.

Teamwork

Prospective members can attend meetings to see if they would be a good fit for the organization.

Age

We're seeking members from grades 9-12 to grow the organization and continue it at a high school level.

Skills

Members of our robotics teams are expected to have had some previous skills in designing, programming, or building.

Leadership

Members consistently suggest ideas and show initiative with regards to all aspects of the organization.

Cost

Members pay a fee (TBD this year) to commit and fund robot materials, team costs, and more. We provide full financial transparency.

Our Sponsors

A huge thank you to our sponsors for helping fund our organization!
