What We Do
Mechanics
Members work to design and build a robot to complete tasks for the season's VEX competition
Software
Members program in C++ to make the robot function during the autonomous and driver parts of competition games
Collaboration
Members must work together to create initial designs, solve problems along the way, and manage other organizational activities
Commitments and Performance
Time
Members spend at least 4 hours per week at meetings or contributing from home.
Teamwork
Prospective members can attend meetings to see if they would be a good fit for the organization.
Age
We're seeking members from grades 9-12 to grow the organization and continue it at a high school level.
Skills
Members of our robotics teams are expected to have had some previous skills in designing, programming, or building.
Leadership
Members consistently suggest ideas and show initiative with regards to all aspects of the organization.
Cost
Members pay a fee (TBD this year) to commit and fund robot materials, team costs, and more. We provide full financial transparency.
